"Madonna," late 15th century, Italian, anonymous.  Its Spanish frame was carved in the late 15th century as well.

 

"Portrait of a Lady in a Rose-Coloured Dress," English, 1765.  Although unsigned, the painting has been attributed to Francis Cotes.

 

 

"Portrait of Colonel Paul Orchard," 1794, by Anton Hickel, a German artist.  Hickel painted portraits of the French aristocracy, including one for Marie Antoinette.  The subject of this portrait, Paul Orchard, was an English ancestor of Winfred Post.
