The exhibit features ten quilts prepared by Town & Country Quilters as part of their "9-Patch Challenge." Every quilt was made using 9-patch quilt blocks, with the quilter choosing the colors and patterns. The challenge began in September 2007, when eleven members began exchanging 3 1/2 inch 9-patch blocks twice a month. The exchange continued for nine months until quilters had 198 blocks to be used in their quilt.
People are invited to view the quilts and vote for their favorite any time in June. At the end of the month, three "fan favorites" will receive prizes.
The Guild meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Fellowship Hall, 6th & Pearl, Joplin.
