MARK JUSTIN HALE SCULPTURE EXHIBIT

The Post Library is pleased to present the fine sculptural work of Joplin artist Mark Justin Hale, who enjoys the challenge of exposing forms hidden inside scraps of wood and chunks of stone. Works shown in the exhibit include animal and human figures as well as abstractions.

Hale credits his mother with starting him on the path to creativity when she dumped the contents of the junk drawer on the floor and told the restless young child to “make something of that.” The artist states that his work is an expression of an inexhaustible desire to challenge himself and his audience.
